That means when i use CLS for SB600 on my D80,the pop up flash must fire?I tried to change the in built flash to '-' but it stil fires.Anybody can teach me how to use the CLS on sb600 without firing the on board flash?

Yes, it still needs to fire, just that the light is not suppose to contribute to scene.

redmonsoon has already answered your question.
If you review your shot, you'll see that the illumination doesn't come from the pop-up flash when you set it to Commander mode and '--', even though it fires. So what's the reason why you don't want the pop-up to fire at all? Distracting?

Isn't there anyway to trigger SB600 with my d60 body? I know that d60 has no commander mode and CLS won't work automatically. How about setting manual exposures and everything on SB600 and I just want it to fire when my pop-up flash fire. Please help me.

there are remote flash trigger out there, some uses the flash from your camera pop up flash to trigger and some uses RF to trigger.

uses flash type are cheap but high chances that anyone with a flash can fire off your flash also

uses RF type are more ex but chances of being trigger off by others are very low unless someone is using the same remote with the same code.

Unforunately this is the limitation of pairing a SB600 with a D60. How do you specifically want to use this for? Not sure how much a remote flash trigger costs.. Or you can consider getting a cord for your SB600 (as long as you are not trying to place it too far away from your D60).

Alternatively, can consider getting another flash like the SB800 to act as the commander and your SB600 as the slave (since the D60 doesn't have commander mode). Or upgrade to a D90? :P
