Try using off-shoe flash. depending on the fish tank set up, the flash was point towards the tank from the top. Most modern tanks are covered, but there is usually a small door for feeding purpose. What I did was to rest my flash on the fish tank cover with the flash pointing into the tank thru that door. All you need to do is to but a flash remote set. Third party ones cost about $65.
