By going, you mean to take photographs?

yes. duh. My feeling is that it'd make for an interesting study of portraiture, with all those hyped up sentiments. Any one else interested?

what's there to protest? should be ban instead. :thumbsd:

morally objectionable behavior!

I agreed with you totally.

So I am not going.

For me it is no big deal. Under conservative Asian values, it would not be a very grand event compared to UK's.
I think those who have been to Europe or America for some time would have a more open view to it. Anyway, my gf and I are going.

i'll wait for 1 protest for photographers! :bsmilie:

well, do not be quick to conclude that everyone at the coming event is gay. there are people who have friends who are gay. they may be there to support a cause. they may be 100% heterosexual.

I predict there will be bloggers going there to take some pictures and post on their blogs about this event. I'm dun have a blog though.

I'm not going as I dun support gay protest.

You should be glad that it wasn't Conon.

Canon Japanese founder couldn't spell.

Not going, unless the main speaker is Sion.

The other day a man protested in Speakers' Corner that his new camera came attached with a bra. It was a case of gender discrimination. :)

i think he complained because the bra was not sexy enough

He complained that he needed more latex padding with a natural feel to it. :bsmilie:

What is so wrong about Gays? They are human too. Just because they are different, doesn't make them evil or monsters. And morals? Mmmm whose morals are we applying? Our own?

Sigh I would expect more maturity and tolerance from the people here.... considering this is a creative community.

say the exact same thing if your son or daughter are gay please.

And how do you know that I don't have relatives or kids who are gay? U just assume. Many of you just echo the mantra that gays are bad without even understanding them. Honestly do you really know them? Do you have relatives, friends who are gay? I don't think so cos you all just are too "moral" to go understand them. I ask you back the same question, what if your kids are gay?

Disown them? Lynch them?

Well said aeskywan,
truly there are people who want to fully understand them and not just give an assumption.

Well, there will always be people with a certain amount of limited perspectives of reality. Most likely these people do not allow themselves to understand the truth about those who are termed "gay".

They lack this information so badly that they start to believe that "gay" are bad. By the way is the first gay protest at the specified location over already? What time is it if the event is not over yet?

"Knowing this helps me let go of my tendency to label things as good or bad.
I suffer least when I can accept reality just as it is.
And I benefit most when I open my heart and mind in appreciation."

I though that this thread is about who's interested to go and what you'll be doing there?

When is the event anyway?

Well said.

People often say they can accept gay. But when it turns out to be their sons, then it's often a different story.
