First DSLR - 30D or 400D

I'm glad I chose the 30D because the RAW files are 8MP in resolution, whereas the 400D's would be 10MP. Heh.

That is SO true. Sigh... Especially when one realizes that 10 MP does not offer significantly more resolution than 8 MP...

Apart from that, I also prefer the high ISO performance from the 30D to the 400D. I chose the 400D instead of 30D only because I wanted something smaller and lighter. And I arrived at this decision after I handled both cameras at CanonLink.

BTW, CanonLink is an awesome place for trying out cameras. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Just curious... does Nikon have a similar showroom where you can play with cameras? Hmmm.....

30D has spot metering, but 400D dun have spot metering function.. 30D has a LCD panel on the top of body.. it has better design n build compared to 400D.. i choose 400D cos it is lighter and lower in pricing.. hehe..

Friend bought a used 20D wif grip + Canon 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens only sg$1380.00 , all item still have 3 mths warranty left .
