First Cinematic Wedding Video

Hey guys,

Im always fascinated by cinematic videography. While most of my friends are into photography, my interest lies in motion. Didnt really do videography as a serious thing thus given the chance to help my friend for his wedding(Im just their unofficial office videographer). Hope to receive some constructive comments and learn more from you guys here!!

Equipments on ground(All rented from CRC! except for slider):
1) Canon EOS 100D
2) 50mm sigma lens
3) Slider
4) Zoom H6 Handy Recorder
5) Edited using Adobe Premiere Pro

looks quite nice. good attempt =)

for the music used, maybe cut a little bit faster will be nicer as some of the scenes are stationary for a bit long. cut to around 2-3mins? and concentrate only on the best scenes

some of the scenes look suitable for slow-mo (e.g. 0:11 to 0:13)

yeah the pacing of the video could have been much better. slider aside were you shooting on a monopod or tripod? some shots are super stable and some really shaky. a bit of shakiness here and there is fine but very subjective too. for me it was a distraction from the main event. I think some of the slider shots too could have been levelled properly before rolling, but for a first attempt I'd say not too bad really. keep it up!

No monopod nor tripod. As i only had a slider and was the only shooter with a 50mm! Was just backup videographer that day apart from them having an official one. It was my first time using the slider though but will definetly try to improve!

Good attempt.

I agreed with what others have mentioned.

Areas that you can look into and perfect it.

1. Composition of your sliding shots.
- Especially the dais. A bit off.
- What I would do, I will take a wide sliding shot of the whole dais from below. Just sharing, the makciks-makciks love to see the "majestic" dais. I will coupled the wide shots with some close ups of the items on the dais.

2. 3 shots each.
- Try this for the next one. For every subject that you want to take, get the Wide, Mid and Close up shots. Arrange them in such a way you can tell a story.

3. Using people movement to cut
- 01:24 you should cut at this point. It will act as a transition for your next clip.
