Dinner? Maybe. But from the experience of last years I guess they all finish dinner by 10pm latest and rush down to Chinatown to see 3min firework and breath 15min of fumes and smoke. Nothing much to shoot cause firework is at rooftop of the building opposite Lucky Point.
I meant the 'pause' as the silent period between fireworks going off. Sometimes there is a 4 or 5 second gap, so the black cloth (apologies for suggesting cloth if card works better) is to cover the lens and not allow light to enter.
Hmmm, ooops. I didn't suggest f/22 specifically. Just meant that a small aperture is preferable... Perhaps that was a bad example. It's been quite a while since I photographed fireworks.
well i dont go down to chinatown that often because for the past few years cny eve its like..shoot event then shoot that one then go home for dinner then out to relatives house to chill..its been like that for quite awhile so if there is fireworks..my entire family is missing out too..
and most if the time i go to shoot is national day or end of the year countdown.
i do not know during cny eve there is.
