Astonishing ...

* 1GB Olympus XD card (can't find Fuji) $185 nett from AP, on credit card.

obrag said:The 1GB is a good buy - I'm already regretting getting only 512MB (& to think at first I just wanted to get 256MB as I was quite hesitant about the xD format and with my current CF investment). The video mode takes up lots of space, and with the F10 I am shooting more than I was with the S50! (good noise control and long battery life been reasons I guess...)
ericsoon72 said:i agree with obrag and should have gotten a 1GB card instead! din noe it costs only abt $185 for a 1GB card compared to the 512MB which i got for around 110.![]()
ericp said:At long last ... 700 shots now, and one bar down on the power indicator![]()
obrag said:Haha, I think we can start some sort of Top-of-the-Chart extreme-sport game: see who can squeeze the greatest amount of shots/juice out of a fully-charged F10. Or embark on the most extreme photo trip like going deep into Amazon jungle for 1 month with F10 + only 1 batt :bsmilie:
ericp said:Ha ha ... farnee ... but it's good to share what we can get out from the cam. I guess all our shooting styles are different, and someone using, say, high speed shooting all the time plus 50% flash will get less. Conversely, someone shooting purely without flash should get more.
obrag said:Actually thought really came across my mind... was thinking of trying my luck and go Japan for a week without the battery charger  Will report my 'trial' if I do go ahead...
Last time my problem with S50 was battery running out before I finish filling up the 512MB CF; now I fill up the 512MB even before my battery goes down by 1 bar.... funny world![]()
you bought this camera?Snowcrash said:what about a spare battery, any idea how much will it cost?
Finally a compact with a workable iso800and f2.8!

So any idea about spare battery cost?

grantyale said:Judging from the noise in darker areas at ISO 800, the signal to noise ratio is not better than older cameras like G3 at ISO 400, which is under rated and is equally sensitive as F10's ISO 800.
grantyale said:Putting it simple and straight, F10 is very nice for its size and price but there's nothing too good about its signal to noise ratio when compared with digiacams of similar CCD size.
