When pple start selling their relatively new cameras (regardless of brand), it does not mean that the cam is inferior, or whatsoever. There could be many other reasons. But most of the time, it is probably because they are unable to harness the full potential of the camera. Perhaps the problem lies with the user, in this case.

I oso finally got the D70 at Lords today at a price of 1660 for body+kit! I oso include the Nikkor 70-300mm telephoto lens for 88 as advertised. I found it too attractive to miss this offer. Hence, I sold all my ERS + a bit of top up in order to buy them. BTW, CF didnt come with kit.

Well, as someone else mentioned about the 'hello kitty' syndrome... i tink its the same here. most people think that jumping from prosumer to entry level dslr (D70) will get them better pictures - i've known a few who've done that... they buy and shoot on auto then they go like... "hey this one take better pic than my 5700"... then when a newer model comes out or when they see new models come out, they go like... "i think that'll give me a better picture... also make me look more cool", so they sell and buy.

there are others however, who really know how to use their equipment but never check specs and if the camera has the functions that they need... so they buy and after a few monts realise that they need quicker response, more FPS etc... so they upgrade.

i'll bet that there are other reasons too... but here are just two possibilities hehe~ i know I badly want an upgrade to a D2H D2Hs or D2x for the higher frame rate... but no vitamin M! :hammer:
