But what if I give you a blank film without my portrait? How could you know before processed?

:bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Then, if I ask around those who participate, the one thats not named by another person will be the one lor...Then I'll blacklist this person forever.

if everyone shoot selfportrait in 1st frame..all first frame will be 2 overlapped portrait ;p

Interesting, right?:bsmilie:

1.Max 2.8
2.LL (non-Lomo user, SLR)
3.madmacs
4. hASHbrown_kopitiam (HBK for short)
5.LAZyNPL (LAZY for short)
6. yeky2000 (newbie shooter)
7. toffeespin

good to see this program revived :bsmilie:

is it limited to one roll of film per person?

For now lets start with 1 roll first.

FIlm Exchange Program
you shoot a roll of 35mm film first(1 stop under), then we meet up and exchange film and shoot again. Anyone interested just put your name in the list. 35mm colour negative only.

Date: 16 June 07
Time: TBC
Venue: Clark Quay

(I've removed the self-portrait for first frame liao, just write your nick in CS can liao, when we exchange film, just remember who your film is from, if its blank or got problem, just post here, we'll ban him forever, ok?)

I've removed the last rule, any iso is fine. so go ahead and use iso1600 or 3200 i dun care, but dun complain if you exchange it for a cheapo iso200 film

how we do it:
when everyone meetup, we'll throw all the film into a plastic bag, then we lucky draw our film. no choosing. this is to be fair. if you get a high or low iso film that your camera can't use, then too bad.

Use only ISO 400 and colour negative only

Excuse me, Sir:
Can we don't limit to ISO400 film or not (but will be color-neg)? Since not everyone here using lomo-cam right?

:sweat:

i think he limit for ease of adminstration ;p personally i dun see a problem using any iso film. just remember set manual iso to -1 stop.

film ISO -> shooting ISO
200 -> 100
400 -> 200
800 -> 400
1600 -> 800

i would suggest using iso 400-1600 film in case dun have good lighting.

But wat r there 2 admin? :dunno:

Isn't e whole idea simple enough:

Shoot at -1EV >> exchange film & shoot again at -1EV >> process film in C-41 >> select, scan & post

Names r alredi 2b written on cartridge b4 lucky-dip rite?

Anyway, as long as Sir happy, I anything can... :bsmilie:

To explain more clearly regarding ISO400 film:

If its a bright sunny day, and we got ISO 800-1600 film, most likely it'll be over-exposed with our plastic compact camera. Like-wise, if we got ISO100-200 film and kana cloudy or rainy day, most likely most of the shots will be underexposed.

So with ISO400, we don't have to worry about the weather or ambient light too much.

Now we got 7 people liao, maybe we can suggest where to meetup?

I am so sorry! I only have an SLR, and no lomo cam. I still want to join you but I think I can't use lomo. Sorry!

use any compact cameras...$5-10 only, we not exactly a Lomo forum...we play with all kinds of toy cameras

Don't worry, I have a few compact cameras... can lend u.

Bro-Max2.8,
This is wat I concern: the more restriction the less fun/participant. Shouldn't we leave the creativity to each individual?

no no, no restrictions, just want to minimise screw-ups. People worry about misalignments and ISO stuff, so just want to solve the problem and minimise conflicts. SLR is ok, but got chance of misalignment.

i might use slr or rangefinder leh ;p

actually any cam also got chance of misalignment. lomo cams higher chance due to uneven frame advance. but then thats where the fun is :bsmilie:

Ya loh... want to experiment alternatives:
Lomo-attitude
Slr-quality

!!! ;p

we not marketing lomo here leh, its alternative photography....:sweat: If lomo, that means all the canon, nikon, leica will be out liao...
I using XA;p

just trying to match short length camera to short length camera. SLR and rangefinder is longer...higher chance of misalignment when you mix them up mah...

Trying to make things work for everyone, if you all ok, i ok lor, why dun you all think of where to go instead?

ASAP, or ALAP :bsmilie:
Cos leaving town this Sat & b back in mid-Jun onli... so b4 or after can!

see how lah, when we meet up....when will we meet up, by the way?

interesting, done once and will do again.
before i can commit, i need to know the date of outing.
