Film exchange Program

Hi, it's an intersting idea. But there is a question?

Is it possible that each image in the second time of shooting will cover two images in the first? Because the two cameras maybe in different brand or model. For AF cameras I don't know, but for MF cameras I think it is very prone to occur.

good question...but even if misaligned also ok wat?

FIlm Exchange Program
you shoot a roll of 35mm film first(1 stop under), then we meet up and exchange film and shoot again. Anyone interested just put your name in the list. 35mm colour negative only.

Date: 16 June 07
Time: TBC
Venue: Clark Quay

1.Max 2.8
2.LL (non-Lomo user, SLR)
3.madmacs
4. hASHbrown_kopitiam (HBK for short)
5.LAZyNPL (LAZY for short)
6. yeky2000 (newbie shooter)
7. toffeespin

(I've removed the self-portrait for first frame liao, just write your nick in CS can liao, when we exchange film, just remember who your film is from, if its blank or got problem, just post here, we'll ban him forever, ok?)

I've removed the last rule, any iso is fine. so go ahead and use iso1600 or 3200 i dun care, but dun complain if you exchange it for a cheapo iso200 film

how we do it:
when everyone meetup, we'll throw all the film into a plastic bag, then we lucky draw our film. no choosing. this is to be fair. if you get a high or low iso film that your camera can't use, then too bad.

Good concern. Yes, it is potential; even with auto-winding camera. But then... ain't we looking for unexpected output? :bsmilie:

*The only true concern on this matter is tat the scanning must be performed manually with clear instruction. Or we may end-up have to scan the film ourself with flatbed-scanner

overlapping frames is very likely possibility. however in my first trial i was using a nikon n80 and my friend was using a canon eos 50e. interestingly both rolls we shot were almost perfectly aligned.

anyway like max said...misalign also ok. all part of the fun :bsmilie:

Use only ISO 400 and colour negative only. Also first frame, do a shot of yourself, this is to make sure everyone's honesty, in case someone give blank film...:nono:

waste 1 frame leh ;p i suggest write your name on the film canister before swapping. anyway hard to cheat lah...if blank will know once the roll is processed :bsmilie:

No waste lah, can be creative one, shoot your own photo, or reflection, as long as we can recognise you can liao, ven if you are very very small.

with your own portrait, means cannot siam liao mah... Anyway, write name also...

hard to find culprit who cheat us mah, but with your own portrait, means cannot run liao... Anyway, write name also...

dun need lah. i think just make sure got name on canister before exchange. you plan to do lucky dip style exchange?

You'll see... some people like to cheat...dunno why also...maybe convenient and easy way out...:dunno:

If you worry on this, then just arrange such that the second shooter own the roll. Then the most you see is your own non MX shoots!

;)

you fellas think too much leh. must lomo lomo a bit lah....dun think juz shoot :bsmilie:

But what if I give you a blank film without my portrait? How could you know before processed?

Tom Cruise's eyes
Johny Depp's nose
Brad Pitt's lips
Ricky Martin's bud
