Feedback regarding Marketplace - Improvement

Dear Clubsnap,

I would like to feedback that I have encounter users still contacting me for item thread
that have already been closed.
Is there anyway to indicate the item in the thread is sold?
I don't think by posting a sold quote will help as I have tried before.
Yet there are still people either did not notice, assume that the item is still available
or don't bother to read at all.

I see in another forum where sold items are moved to a SOLD folder. Not sure if that will help.

Sometimes it could be buyers just wanting to try their luck.

You can post a reply to your own thread with comment that the item is sold.

thats what I do and we should do. Just close it with a 'Sold' notification.

Having to move sold items into another folder probably be another headache.

but heh, I do still get inquiries on items which I've said was sold. SOmetimes people do just want to try their luck.

you post item already sold update, some people will still ask you if it is available.

you lock the thread, they will still ask you if it is available.

even you sold the item few months ago, some people will still contact you.

so mark a SOLD in thread title or move it to SOLD folder will not guarantee no one won't dig it out again.





You've done whatever you can already, so a simple solution is just ignore them, let them waste their own time instead of yours.

There are several repost/link sites that crawl our BnS threads and repost the info. It is out of our control. So even if the info is moved, or marked as sold, people who came in from those sites through search results will still call you...
