I know Tweakmax2 (not Tweakmax) is a newbie... no offence, don't read too much into his words. He probably said good stuff about it just to make a make a quick sale. :)

Hey Pepper, thanks a lot. Guess got to depend on guys like you who are more familiar here to get to learn who's who and what.

I did a 320x200 video on my A70 with a 256Mb PQI. Recording ran without problems, but on viewing playback of the video, the video hung.

You guys think it's the PQI giving the problem or is it the camera?

I never formatted the CF card since I bought it. Would formatting help?

;p

Yes it does! Format it using the camera and try again.

We'd love to hear your feedback again!

does pqi or any other vendor have 4gb cf?

Formatted the CF. Problem still happens.

Is it the camera or the CF?

Pretec has 3GB CF & have announced 6GB CF. http://www.pretec.com/index2/product/SSD/ach_industrial.htm. Only US$1999 for the 3GB & yes, they accept VISA & can ship to Singapore. ;p

Lexar has 2GB & 4GB CF too -

But your camera may not support it unless it can support FAT32 format if I'm not wrong.

From a posting earlier on in this tread....

hi...me having some problems with the 512 mb card I bought last tues...seems like I've been having some memory errors after numerous writes to the card...camera only gave me a power down or format card option....which is really not much of an option to me....posted earlier in another thread also got some feedback that other users facing some problems with the PQI card leh....

maybe I damn suay or what...the above mentioned problem used to be able to allevate by formating the PQI card.....after the latest hang up (2nd time)...can't even format...camera keep flashing card error...sigh...forced me to lose nearly 200mb worth of pics and also the CF card...wanted to get it changed but AP got no stocks...so I traded in the PQI card with top-up for a transcend CF card...filled it up once and show no issues so far....well...PQI's cheap...but quality kindof depend on your luck...

Maybe like roygoh mentioned...it might have some quality assurance issue...

I think apart from what quality of memory chip they use, seems like there are also different ATA controllers used (at least for the 1GB & above) - http://www.pretec.com/index2/product/SSD/ach_industrial.htm#SALES AND INQUIRIES

Took my 256Mb PQI back to AP to top-up exchange for a Ridata.

Cannot stand the hanging anymore with the PQI.... Ridata (20X) definitely little bit slower than the PQI, but at least no corruption and hanging.

I guess I'm one of unlucky ones to get a bad card.

;)

You should have gotten a Transcend 30x one.
