No, I am afraid you are not quite right. The FA limiteds are a notch better than the DA limiteds, both in terms of built and optics. FA limiteds being planar designs tend to have more character in their rendering while the tessar-designed DA limiteds are more technically-correct renderers. Built wise, DA limiteds are a little flimsy in built. But anyway, there are no MIJ DA limited so there is no contention here. This comparison is a bit like the Made in Germany/Canada Leicas - the former always fetches a better price. We live in a world of branding and perception...look at the da limiteds, they are all aiv but they are regarded as in the same class of mij fa ltd in terms of build and image qualities. proof that mij lens is not relatively better than the one that is not.
