F18, F16, T-50, A380, etc

These are by far, the BEST plane pictures I have seen in a long time. I unfortunately didn't go this year but after looking at your wonderful shots, I wish I had. The details are amazing. So clear, sharp and the colours are brilliant. Did you do any post processing? And one of my favorites of the A380 is the head on shot. How did you manage to get this? Was it flying straight towards the crowd at eye level or did you have some high vantage point that no one else did? My first thought was that it was coming in for a landing and you were at the end of the runway but the absence of wheels down takes that away.

I'm impressed. Your line-up of lens is a photographers dream come true. Looking forward to seeing more.

After the flyby, the A380 made a loop and headed towards the crowd which was quite far out. The initial thought was... woow... look at those wingspan! I took the photo and it turned out to be a stunting shot I was just standing on the ground

BTW, do you mount them on tripod or monopod?

I shot hand held :sweat: moving the entire 5kg setup up and down was like doing rifle PT :sweat: but it was worth it imo.

I was contemplating of bringing a gimbal head but after trying it out I reckon the gimbal will actually slow down my reaction so I just went without any support. Anyway the weather was good and I had a fast lens so I can still get at least 1/1000s shutter speed :think:
