Brought the F100Fd ard 2 weeks ago after my Sony W1 die on me. Got it for $480 with all the goodies and extra battery at MS color. Really amazing camera with good high ISO performance for a compact. Could get all the shots previously not possible with a compact and with acceptable noise levels. Loves the punchy colors and the stabilizer works. Great for travel (28mm) and night shoots. :) Just wish there is manual on it.... If not a bit hard to get long exposure shots for night scenery.

Yup it was achieve at pure auto. Result was overexposed when I tried to use 1sec and more in night shot mode. Hmm will try more when free.

darn it, it dosen't seem to have flash compensation ;(
Is anyone able to adjust the flash power?

Hi, can any kind soul out there share with me this cam vs the F31FD? Thanks!

Search the forum and you will find that most people who have handled both will tell you that despite the F100 fd has better zoom, an IS, more megapixel it cannot defeat the long battery life and most impt low light capabilty of the F31fd. F100fd is good but in the end F31 is even better, the only problem that it is out of production!

Hi Socrates, thanks so much for the feedback. :) It helps with some decision-making here!

Hi all, I've just bought this camera. I've occurred pink-band, 2 separates line 1/3 towards the left screen but it didnt appear in the photo viewback. This happen only once, therefore not sure will it appear in photo viewback in future where pink-band occurs while photo-taking. Any of f100fd users experience it too? I've checked my firmware,is 1.02.

Thanks.

pink band on the lcd while taking an image is normal, not only for finepix but most PnS as well.

my also has while taking on a high contrast scene, but none on the output image.

Oh, thanks. Is your camera sensitive to on/off button? A press(without holding) on mine will on the camera. Sometimes my finger accidentally pressed on the side of the pounch, it will activate the camera causing it to display "zoom error" as it cant extract the lens normally.

Or if the cam is in your pants pocket, it may create an embarassing bulge, that may surprise your female friends... :)
