switched to Starhub for my mobile.
Regret.

The signal coverage is so poor, everytime when from ECP, once turn in to Siglap Road. No signal. All the way to almost near Upp Changi Road.
Feedback to Starhub and standard reply.

Where to ask for reasonable coverage ??

IDA ?

Any one can help please

My personal experience is Singtel generally tends to have the best coverage in the more populous areas in Singapore... Unfortunately, 3G network coverage on N-S/E-W MRT trains are bad, even in the downtown stations.

Starhub is probably 2nd best. However, my mum used to have a Starhub line and we couldn't get any coverage at all at home (home is at Bukit Timah). Your mileage may vary...

Not v sure about M1... Maybe someone could share their experience.

M1 coverage its good very strong at yishun. and in mrt.

but stopped using them as they always have a bill shock. also dont know how they calculate they per outgoing calls billing.

I've used 3 services for HP signal coverage before. Its like this order from best to worst: SingTel - M1 - Starhub.

i couldnt put up with starhub anymore....switched to m1... just paid the f***ing 400 penalty and move on with life...

you did what most will not do............

i intend to throw $250 to starhub and return the box also........

I have no experience on Singtel, did previously use M1 but wouldnt be fair to compare as back then there was no such thing as 3G.

Been using Starhub for the past 3 years I believe, reception is generally ok but when I'm on the train, this is above ground, sometimes, the reception just dies............

My mobile phone will show searching for at least 1.5mins......

as a telco, i will feel terribly ashamed and embarrassed if customers are willing to throw $$$ at you to terminate the line and switch to another telco cos of bad network...

As one CSer has mentioned, I believe every telco has its own blind spots.
I use M1 for many years.
Every evening when I make my way along a curvy road somewhere in Bedok,
I would come to a point when I would surely drop signal.
Consistently, daily. Almost without fail.
It doesn't inconvenient me so much.
Just that I know where I am whenever I lose signal...

ugh.. i am using singtel and i really regret signing up a year for their 3g data services, though i am aware of their disclaimer about the speed being dependant on location and the type of phone used, i have never been able to surf at the max speed of 7.2mbps on my phone. At good times when i'm in certain parts of the town area, i may be lucky to reach 2mbps, but 90 percent of the time, it doesn't even reach 256kbps. I do agree with limhow though for m1. I experience the same thing everytime but it doesn't bother me at all. Lazy to complain to any telcos as i know call centre staffs can NEVER do anything but entertain us only. Put down phone then curse our whole generation. :bsmilie:

My Singtel signal is bad too
