Use encryption codes. WEP2 or WPA.

next do not broadcast your SSID. And lock your wireless to your laptop's MAC address.

Firewall the whole network.

This is from protecting on unauthorised usage.

your problem. Very easy. Lock the ports used for such programs... Dun allow them to use it. Only allow 80, 8080, and the other browser using ports.
