I see... Crabs are normally sold by weight...

I believe it's about $35-40 per kilo or so...

So if the crab is about 1 kilo, the prawns would have cost you $10 or so...

I think the lady quoted us about 26 a kilo.... it was fun though... picking out the crab... but the mantou~~ i love deep fried mantous....
sad right? all that cycling gone to waste, cause when we returned to Sg we went to makan dinner at Dynamic indian restaurent...

we wanted to hail a cab back... but they wouldn't take our bikes.... end up got to cycle all the way back to pasir ris.... and it was really strenuous too cause it was late, I need a shower before catching the last bus home....
our cycling always ends up in vain cause we always end up eating something sinful after that :bsmilie:
my calves muscles are more developed now though :D

Actually the thighs too......

might get a firmer butt too... :bsmilie:

No you don't Adam.

It's almost impossible to focus manually and accurately on the inadwequete focusing screen in that camera, or any other DSLR focusing screen designed primarily for use in AF only operations.

The screens are ground fairly fine (to look bright) so 'seeing' when an aera snaps into and out of focus is near impossible without high magnification as in use a viewfinder magnifier or a good quality angle finder that has at least 2x or more magnification. The very affordable 3rd gen Seagull ones goes up to 2.5x IIRC.

Alternatively, get a cheap 3rd party split-image focusiong screen from e-bay, or splurge for a Katz Eye or Hoada (usually refurbished Minolta screens, but I suspect it's now sourced from anywhere due to the large demand). The main problem is in fitting these screens if you've not done it before, and also getting accurate alignment (the screens in 10-30D cameras are shimmed with ultra thin brass or steel plates).

If you';re swinging by this way again, I can do it for you fairly easily. Just bring your body along. ;)
Read somewhere those split screens plays havoc on the modern day cam metering. Use wif care.

o hai.

but..... i need to use them tmr!!!!

I guess it depends largely on which models and what sort of exp cell arrangement is used.

I'm not sure about Nikon users, but on certain Canon bods that I tried it on, it's fairly predictable (10D and 1D ser). My friend has used it on his much older D60 and it was also fine. I'm not sure about modern bods like the 50D or older 40D.

I've used split-screens with the central AF point selected as the spot-metering area, and it was supposed to be really really screwed-up, but when I tried it, my metering was consistent. :dunno:

There IS an exposure shift, because the split wedges does cause a certain amount of diffraction of light, but as long as it's consistent, it can be reliably compensated for, and in Canon bods like the 40D onwards and 1 ser cams, there is a custom function to set for this.

O HAI...............i'm home.....

tonnes of photo awaiting me to screen thru and edit.......
