Somehow when you said the word "sliced" i have this visual of this finger really coming off....

I think you meant cut his finger. Lol.
"Sliced" cos i think a part of his flesh was either exposed or came off.
For my thumb, i think a better word is "hacked" the flesh open. :bigeyes:

Sliced, and it would have been all the way through had it not been for the fingernail stopping the blade, and I was PREPARING dinner for my wife, not helping her prepare dinner.
How's your hacked thumb? Where did the incision occur? Did you cut through bone? Is your thumb shorter now? Are you OKAY?

1) My hacked thumb failed to get hacked all the way through. :sweat:
2) Incision occurred right below the right thumbnail where the flesh is.
3) Did not cut through the bone but my bone felt the knock!
4) My thumbnail is shorter now. ;p
5) I'm OKAY! *flash the handyplast big thumb sign*
Luckily before i hacked myself, i washed the chili off my hands when i felt the burning sensation. Can u imagine chili getting into my wound? :sweat:

Hahaha! Not interrogation lah dear. For that, we would have to get Zaccy Boi to shine one of his stunningly blinding torchlights into your face!
I'm just detailed, that's all. And I'm glad to see that the injury is minor. So, if your thumbnail is shorter, I assume that the incision was all the way through, and that it's only exposed flesh at the tip, right? If that's the case, of utmost importance is wound management, hygine and changing your dressing properly.
Once when I completely sliced off a section of flesh, it was keeping everything at the wound site clean, and changing dressings twice daily that helped heal it completely in 1.5 weeks.
Are you familiar with wound management and dressings?
Apologies, I may not have seen that last night. I was on 5 or 6 different conversations simultaneously, or may have replied and it didn't go through.
