Ask yourself, what is it that the kit lense cannot do that the Tammy can, and is it worth the trade-off?

BTW, what's the local repair and svc support for Tammies now? Do they actually actually have a trained technician familiar with digital lenses and technology, or do they have to send everything back to Japan (and charge you exorbitantly the way the old agent did)?

Ask yourself, what is it that the kit lense cannot do that the Tammy can, and is it worth the trade-off?

Shoot low light slightly better, focus mebbe a lil faster?
