but one probability that the kids are not paying attention to her is prolly because she's too nice to them...
i found that out the hard way when i first started lessons with my class.....
then i got damn pissed after tolerating them for one month....
then just took the bull by its horns and got strict with them lo...stop being so nice... chase them for homework... make them stayback after school... catch them before dismissal and make them stay back to complete their homework...and they are not allowed to leave or go home until they submit legible proper answers... and you just stay with them in the classroom la... its abit stressful and tough in the beginning... but after awhile when they see you mean business they will prolly listen to you abit more...don't worry about the parents complaining because in the end you are trying to fulfill your duty as a teacher... it would be even worse if you've to explain to a mob group of parents why their kids are all flunkies...
bo...
never watch them b4.
i think it's bcos i never set ground rules with them.
the class i'm having problem with is well known in the staff room for their misbehaviour especially the boys of that class.
they have played with fire, bullying, scream, shout, throw furnitures, play catching, running in and out of the classroom, sleep, make a hell lot of noise that i can hardly hear myself...

Like what Tainted mentioned,u got to make them respect n fear u. I cannot give u ideas here cos govt n private schools r different. I'll give u an example though...for the incorrigible ones who sleep,i make them stand throughout the lessons.

wah you kena normal technical class issit?
What, exactly have you done or tried doing to re-gain control of that class?
NO!!!! those caught sleeping will do hand stand throughout the lessons.
I'm old fashioned dear. Stand them up and insert, sloooowly, sharp little bamboo skewers under their toe-nails! In the absence of bamboo skewers, can ask any XMM moller on CS to lend their BBQ skewer eyelashes. :bsmilie:
normal academic
well... i tried to stop them (when i split class with another teacher, easier to catch).
i tried making 3 students stand behind the class but they can't even stand still and can still move about like i having fun with them.
but when it comes to the whole class of 40 students, the disturbing gang is rather big and they split up to do different disturbs, which make me the only teacher in class difficult to catch and it waste a lot of time also.
