I also find all that collector item that is in gold very "cheena crap" I remember I had a friend was pestering me to buy his collector item Nikon FA. if you can remember that film body years ago. There was like only how many in Singapore back then. Guess he needed the money but also want to sell it at a higher price then he paid for it. But I know he had a hard time selling it away in the end and ended up selling it for half the price and it was never used!. I know of another bloke who used his ( I think it was an ) F3 Gold edition. Wah...the sweat and after using it for quite a bit...it look just awful if you don't keep it clean after each use. A Leica rangefinder limited original might be worth collecting for those with deep pockets but I can't for the life of me see any real investment value in them unless you are a diehard fan.

In the 'heydaze' of 'collector's' stuff, you get everything under the sun, including GREEN leather, crocodile hide and whatever korrors you want to dye also can! All, of course, with GOLD trim!
Heck, even now you can chinkify your DSLR by buying metallic 'gold' trim stickers for your particular DSLR online!

Yup, I remember this one. Quote a few shops had it actually, so it wasn;t exactly 'rare'.
I really liked the functionality of the FA though. Kinda like a souped-up, cheaper plastic fantastic version of the F3!
