Don't buy ring flash or macro flash, using you normal external flash will be fine. Remember you saw all my shots are using my normal flash.

eh!
oh yah hor O.o

Yeah, I didn't think Leong would recommend a ring nor a macro flash that was why I was wondering, unless he had specific reasons lah.

isn't ring flash a bit 'extreme' to start with? :dunno:

actually it is cheaper to start off with......

image the cost of 2x external flash + 2x flash bracket + the support system.

Not really.

I think a ring flash would be a lot more restrictive and less versatile in field/nature macro applications. Leong's set-up offers far more versatility. But check with the XMM just to be sure. He has been through it all and can save you a lot of heart, head and wallet ache.

1 x R1C1 = S$900+

2 x sb-900 = 1k+

2 x 580EXIIs = $1.2+ K
2 x old Sunpaks or Vivitars = $150 - $400

Portraits is still better for me :bsmilie:

60mm good and sharp even at 2.8 :bsmilie:

Leong being the 3rd XMM in CS..is the only one I know that prefers DSLR Macro... the other 2 XMM I know prefers P&S for more DOF.

would anyone recommend an fuji s5pro?
