Side: Is applying one of those plastic clear film screen protectors to a touch screen phine a gud idea? What's a gud way to protect the entire phine? I mean like ... previously, I would use a hard plastic 'crystal clear case that covers the entire screen and phone area ... but obviously this is not possible with a TS handset ...

Yahhh... very good idea to put screen protector on touch screens cos they may get scratched. I scratched the screen protector of my sister's nintendo DS while playing a stupid game... fortunately it wasn't the real screen so I could easily fix it by replacing the screen protector.
As for the entire phone, depends on the model. I know iphone has like the screen protector film thingy that wraps around the entire phone.... but not cheap. Not sure if other phones has such things. Saw this in newspaper.
