No leh. Since canon deals r better than nikon, since my cousin is interested in photography now, buy a better one lor. He only buying for a trip to Europe. Later can pass to his kids mah. Canon freebies include a crumpler 5 million dollar home n a dry cabi. He bought the kit II which is 18-135. 500d offers 18-200mm though
