Actually Nex can mount alot of old camera lens like FD without correction glass due to closer distance to sensor without mirror. It tempted me for a while, but the setting all need to apply on the touchscreen turns me off. Imagine FD 50mm F1.2 SSC with focus confirmation for less than 500. Performance and price is good

Actually the NEX 3/5 is not touchscreen, controls for it are pretty straight foward for a cam size like this.

Too used to my DSLR 2 wheels and dial switch. When I try out the Nex at funan South Asia Computing, the first thing I ask the counter lady is how to change to manual mode...
Mirrorless is good stuff as lens rear element can be place close to sensor. But build and design still need some changes if it is used beyond convenience level.
