The damselfly is Senegal bluetail (青紋細蟌)
Ischnura senegalensis (Rambur, 1842)
Family: Coenagrionidae (Pond damsels / Bluets)

finally online now.
yesterday go back, wash up, eat lunch then sleep liao.

i figured that damselflies don't like me. maybe i'm emitting too much heat.
but still.... managed to have a few guai damselflies for me to shoot. now i know how big they are.

will post my photos after finish installing cs5. still got about 1 hour of installation time to go. :sweat:

on the note of BBB, yes!!!! must BBB a new tripod. lens hood, maybe. need a camera bag too. shoes... my columbia shoes are doing fine, but not really total waterproof. :bsmilie:

overall, great teaching by Leong. I enjoyed myself during the outing. :lovegrin:

There are books on A guide to spiders.... etc.
These are small pocket guide books which were published quite long ago by science centre and BP.
Leong posted the link to the new book on dragonflies.
Damselflies... i'm not sure.

It is the female of the same species.

The female is either in olive (same colour with the male) or in golden orange colour.

So when you saw the olive colour one, the only way to distinguish the gender is by the shape of the tail. :)

For the books, common spider of singapore by Joseph K H Koh, can get in any major book store, $5.35 incl GST.

To tempt you ppls more.....the area is house for other damsels.....

Pinhead midget, very small and common, always eaten up by other damsel.
