what if I can't get a shot where the eyes are aligned?

a bit regretted that the eyes of the mating pair not in focus. :(

are there other places that are more accessible and easy to visit???

Then shooting more head on will be more pleasing then shooting from the back. :)

i know the sundial pond has some but they are so far in.

Haha... I also addicted, think after my reservist and Korea trip I'll go shoot some macro again... Hope after I come back still got $ to bbb tripod head and stuff... :bsmilie:

It is the female of the same species.

The female is either in olive (same colour with the male) or in golden orange colour.

So when you saw the olive colour one, the only way to distinguish the gender is by the shape of the tail. :)

For the books, common spider of singapore by Joseph K H Koh, can get in any major book store, $5.35 incl GST.

Pinhead midget, very small and common, always eaten up by other damsel.

You used you new Canon 100mm F2.8 L USM Macro lens for these?

Errr... I on nikon system leh... Uncle ... using Same Lens as Leong, 200 micro f4 :)

If you are really into it, you can start collecting images of them.

There are 41 species of damselflies in Singapore, I used to go into it, but too lazy now.....only got 15 species.....one of my friend had already got 24 species. :)
 

But it is never ending to collect.......
