Personal opinion: Tattoos are putrid, I've only ever seen a couple that were well executed and artistic, most are just kitsch crud.

Scientific Fact: What you don't realise is that you're going to probably live until you're 70-80 years old and having a tattoo at say 20-25 yrs old means it's going probably be there for the next 50 years. Tattoos loose their colour inside about 20 years due to oxidisation of the ink dyes regardless of the exposure to the sun. So you'll end up with a green slowly fading mess of oxidising tattoo on your back. Finally there is no method of tattoo removal that does not have high rates of scarring or physical pain, this includes laser removal.

It's your body, do what you will with it, but don't come whining to anyone when the tatt you loved when your young turns in to your worst nightmare when your 50.
