if you want the short:
1) small, attracts very little attention
2) silent shutter compared to dslr mirror
3) supposedly very fast to focus when you get used to it
4) compact due to the lack of need for the slr type of ttl viewing
5) viewfinder can see OUTSIDE the frame, can be useful for street
