Sigma 24mm F/1.8 ($626, before CNY at MS Color)
vs
sigma 30mm F/1.4 (about $700+ before CNY)

i'm quite torn between the two cus i *may be* buying new lenses. still doign research (i always do until end up not buying :bsmilie: :bsmilie: )

Just want to hear your views since you guys got more experience and sometimes the online reviews are biased.

more for street shots, architecture shots, day-to-day use etc.

i not sure about brand but the range of 24mm is more tempting as 30 like not there or there, maybe can get 24mm and then 35mm next time

good point.. but the thing is i dont have SLR :P my SLR = borrowed. haha.

yeah 24mm is tempting cus of the range, but 30mm is tempting cus of the aperture. 1.4!! but actually, is there really very great difference between 1.4 and 1.8? if not really, maybe i shld go for the 24mm..

24mm = must order from MS color and wait about 1 month ~_~

:( i no lunch at home.. gonna eat bread!

Bread is good
I usually bring a loaf of bread to work every day...
When I bring out the load at the canteen they say "adam's loading the carbs again!" LOL
and if I bring something else they will ask "where is your loaf of bread today?"

honestly, i not sure about this 2 lens's performance. I mean the optics.

But i would go for 24mm as F1.4 and 1.8 not super lot of diff in terms of exposure. As now Most DSLR can shoot at 1600iso.

The only 3rd party lens i have is the Macro lens, Apo lantar 135mm, the rest are prime lens. 35, 50, 85. And friend loan me a 17-35 :)

That's all i need for my way of shooting, nothing beat the prime lens :bsmilie:

get 35 1.8G cheapest of the lot :)

yesss i love prime lenses!!! i used to think it's stupid to use prime lens cus range is limited, but after i bought my 50mm i love itttt!
