Sheree, actually you can consider a 2nd hand Nikon 24-50mm.........should be $300 plus....small and light, IQ not that bad, design for landscape purpose.....

If you got luck, some seller deal below $300.

at least that is a full frame lens.....actually cosina got a 19-35mm lens (also FF lens), can get $150 brand new, quite sharp from f/5.6 onwards.

Keep a dog is not easy, your family not anti pets la, maybe they just worry to have one then no time to take care of it.

You might need to buy insurance for him to bring him out.
