Oh, thanks for the info. I will be going for a short 4 days trip, more of a rest and relax trip than photography. :)

Rest, Relax and BBB. :bsmilie:

Ecuador, nice place, was very safe when I was there in 2005. It just pays to travel with a local person when moving around.

Food is great, people are nice. Just to fly there from Singapore is a very involved trip and expensive.

I flew Singapore to Orlando, overnight then Orlando to Ecuador via Panama. Its cheaper to buy the tickets from USA to Ecuador online as you can choose your trip better. Orlando Ecuador return was about 450USD. Sing to Orlando Return is about SGD2500.

There are other ways to fly to Ecuador, but I flew with friends whom fly there all the time. You can also fly from Houston or Dallas.

Cheers ....

Oh yea, my friend flew to Ecuador to Houston... And lost his luggage during the trip from SG to Houston...

Hmm, not sure about the actual condition but i do heard him say a few of his colleagues (all expat) were robbed just outside the office and their apartment..

Basically the rule is try not to go out at night...

One newly employed manager (1 week later than me), is gonna tendered...

Can see his eyes tears when he talk about his grievance here.

One example, he was questioned why his subordinates were given an average grade for their apprasial when they did nothing OUT of their scope...
