My friend in Ecuador was telling me how dangerous the city is.. Gunshots outside his office etc etc etc

A lot of potential man, this place.

He asked me go visit him.

I told him, get me a rifle first. :bsmilie:

Ecuador, nice place, was very safe when I was there in 2005. It just pays to travel with a local person when moving around.

Food is great, people are nice. Just to fly there from Singapore is a very involved trip and expensive.

I flew Singapore to Orlando, overnight then Orlando to Ecuador via Panama. Its cheaper to buy the tickets from USA to Ecuador online as you can choose your trip better. Orlando Ecuador return was about 450USD. Sing to Orlando Return is about SGD2500.

There are other ways to fly to Ecuador, but I flew with friends whom fly there all the time. You can also fly from Houston or Dallas.

Hong Kong CNY is so happening as compared to Singapore.

If you are going to do photography there concentrate on street scenes as cityscape is grey, misty and dull most days this time of the year. But maybe good for your IR.
