Not everything la. Not dogs/cats/rabbits/guineapigs/hamsters/rats/terrapins/gerbils. LOL. but probably everything other than these are probably illegal. No matter how cute.

how should the settings be like?

lol.....this one.....using high speed sync as the subject is only 2 inches away.....

Can try something like that in the 1st attempt. You can see a lot this damselflies in SBG.

Just use AP mode, slow sync flash and control and flash output to seek a balance between the subject and background......most important is to go close so that need not to crop during post processing.
