Exploring G12...

Dear brothers....

is there anyway for us to choose the 'My colors' setting while shooting RAW + JPEG ?
Eg; shooting B&W while recording in RAW + JPEG?

Used to do this with my GRD 3... miss this feature.... :cry:

i took the G12 to Cappadocia as a backup for my 7D. It is really fun to use. The only thing I regretted not getting along with the G12 was an extra battery and an adapter for ND and polarizer filters. The battery run out fast in the cold when using live view and video mode.

Caught sight of this smoke from my master bedroom last friday morning when i wakie for work, seems like a fire have broke out at Defu Lane area... .. .

thanks, the G12 is really useful as a backup. Cause I went to turkey with only a 10-22mm and 35mm prime. So the G12 gave me a longer reach.

I really like the Royal Selangor @ Clark Quay pic. Composition is good.

Took some pics of "Red Sunset... .. ."

But doesnt seems to get it right... .. .

M mode: ISO320 - 1/60s - F4.5

M mode: ISO800 - 1/60s - F4.5

Auto mode: ISO1250 - 120s - F4.5

Try Av mode, iso80 or 100, f/8, tripod, use timer to 2sec to reduce hand shake, take with exposure -1 to -2 to get a desire result.

But not possible for these shots as I actually stretch my cam out of my window to take them...

Anyway I'll try it out at another location...

for such shots, to get definition of both the dark and light, u will need post processing, read up on HDR..

Also for better sharpness of landscape shots, try to use higher F numbers [ smaller aperture ]
