Those shots were great, excellent ...

But I do hope all the car number plates are masked, just to protect the Owner privacy.
Public forum so anyone can see, if you know what I mean

Thanks for your concern. But for cars with visible plate numbers, I have requested for prior permission already. I do this to show the authenticity of the subject and location.

awesome, very nicely done rig shots. i love the post process and colors too.
the main pole doesnt rotate because those clamps are alittle slippery? or yr camera always hangs upside down?

Hi Rev,

Don't really get your question. :)
The clamp is very tight, so the pole is fixed ... as for my cam, yes, sometimes upside down, sometimes right side up - depending on angle needed.

i have those clamps too and the rubbery bits arent very grippy. so depending on the weight and angle the cam being mounted, if its too heavy, the pole will rotate towards gravity. eg. if cam is mounted on top of the pole.

mebbe we can shoot my car, i love the rig shots, the color, the framing, the use of wide angle :)

i agree with rev that the rubbery bit can be not grippy at times. maybe we should organise a car shoot. i know a couple of them who has their own rig too. heheh

Oh yes yes, I know what you mean. You're right, when I mount on the rear or side windows the whole set up will sag. But still ok, nowadays I don't drive and shoot, owner drives and I walk with the cam/setup. Better results and safer for equipment. :)

What's your ride mate? :)

sent u an email on yr website dude. would rather keep it private :)
i think the evo x is the best so far. the cleanest, the colors pop. feels like a combination of eason & ryuji's work... and also feels like neither.

HOLY ****!!!!

That's one hell of a good set of photos taken on the EVO!

Making me drool...

It's not difficult. Really!

Consider the photo below, because of the natural motion blur - all that is needed is to spray over the rig with the background colour and duplicate parts of the bonnet for the reflection.

For some of my shots, there is no need to even DI out the rig because the rig isn't even in the photo!

To a photoshop noob like myself, it needs some figuring out! =D

Excel élan Magazine Quality

No Words but

I DID, but I was wondering why it didn't work that well. Erm, stupid question, but do I have to adjust it? Like turn it round and round? :kok:

Great shots and very nice of you sharing how you rig up for the shots. Autofocus SLR use circular polarizer and you need not turn it, unlike manual focus bodies.

For some of the shot that you deliberately block with blurred foreground object, don't think I recall seeing that for car shots in magazines. The subject is the car, not much of artistry from that point of view. Just my opinion.

Hope to see more of your car shots in future.

GREAT SHOTS!!! i say it again GREAT SHOTS!!!! its pays to be passionate in what we love most!!
