i recommend lowepro back.... very nice....
since you shoukd have a shoulder sling back already from your D70s purchase, consider getting a backpack for your camera....

I have the cable release and it can do the half-press focus lock. I was comtemplating which one to get but finally decided to go with the cable release.... I guess what I'll miss will be the convenience of taking self-group photos using the remote from far....

My suggestion is to get a small carry around bag first, just big enough for the camera with attached lens, easy to bring around, nothing to cumbersome.
Then take your time to explore, research, try, borrow, test the bags that are big enough to bring the complete setup out, also considering with or w/o laptop.

Actually, for bags, you will definitely end up with a few.

1) there's no perfect bag
2) you'll want different bags for carrying different amount of things

You'll want a small sling canvas bag for fast access to equipment when travelling casual, maybe a larger one for more equipment, then another backpack type for carrying heavy equipments & maybe entire cabinet when you're travelling or trekking. And the list goes on.

So, don't get too hyped up on finding the right bag now, just get something for you to carry your camera will do.

Personally, I've camera 4 bags and that's not counting my haversacks etc. :bsmilie:

3. sensor wand

these 3 are essential to clean your sensor... unless you like to keep paying pple to clean your camera.....

Then you need to buy
1. roses to please your gf/wife
2. Air Ticket (go overseas to take more pics)

Oh yes.... also need to buy pple like ESPN (more than 5000 post) free dinner... then they can give you tips on how to be a better photographer....

Nikon L37C or Nikon NC filters works best for me. Since it's a DX glass, go for NC67.
