Olympus doesn't give a fib about video, to put it frankly. If you want video, Panasonic's cameras do a much better job.

Oly has nicer colors rendering than Panny so it's a friendly draw.
Depends on what do you want, my friend got an EPL1 n he does video.
I call him stupid but counting how many times I use video (about the same frequency), I can't see myself any smarter.

That reviewer is a bit of a joke - go read his Samsung EX-1 review "In terms of lens specifications, the EX1 trumps the LX3 and S90 with its bright F1.8 optics, which offers about 1 stop more in exposure. To him F2 to F1.8 is one stop???? And after it was pointed out to him he doesnt correct anything. Go look at his video - see how badly it was shot.

So chances are, once again, he's made anothe error which he wont correct.

Some initial experience with E-PL2:
- the AF is definitely faster than all previous m4/3 from Oly. But still not as fast as Panny, however its very near, probably 0.1s difference. Oly has now finally resolved the AF issue which plagued its previous m4/3 cams.
- pictures at ISO1600 looks damn clean on my pc, even at 100% crop. ISO3200 although noisy but its ok for 4R prints IMO.
- the cam feels good in then hand, although plastic and light but the built quality is very good.
- it feels very responsive in operations. Everything just snaps in place promptly.
- the new 14-42 II lens is very well built though with plastic mount. Its also sharp even wide opened.
Thats all for now, will try post some shots and provide further findings probably in a new thread shortly.

In some ways, the nicer colors are subjective, because the real world isn't that punchy. I prefer my colors to be natural, not overly colored up.
but the best thing about Oly cameras is that you can always set them to your preference. And I have to say, getting that natural tone is easier to get with Oly than Pany (at least in GF1/GH1 that I've tried)

oooo...holland v is a little out of the way for me though hehe...i'm a easterner
my fav shop gave me a quote that was also about $10+ better then the one stated in the previous page...but their stock is not in yet.....
wonder if i can buy a dual kit of 14-42 + the black 17mm instead of 14-42 + 40-150....
