EOS M5 coming before Photokina

I prefer the M3 design . Hope not so much changes just add on a EVF will do hahahaha

I prefer the Olympus E-M1 or the Fujifilm X-T2 button layout though.
Think the layout wont differ much from the M3. :D

hope the body feel improve as the m3 is little too thin.

RRP USD979 for body only. Preorders taking place in US online shops

saw the pic, its like going to be smaller 100D.
Perfect size for traveling. The EF-M lenses also don't look too shabby. I can see my xmas gift taking shape [emoji1]

Yea I super agree. Worth using it when travelling.

As for me, looking forward as a birthday gift to myself XD

reading the reports and viewing the videos, I must say I'm impressed by the M5...I'm impressed by the price too haha....very desirable...just need the cash :D

I fear the m5 will turn my 80D into a white elephant. This is holding me back from fully jumping onto the m5 bandwagon!

Not true in real world shooting. See here. Many companies offer 4K even though the technology is not ready for it. Canon decides not to implement it in consumer products as long as it is not working properly. Reputation is at stake here.
don't know why Canon decided not to include 4K video in such a nice mirrorless camera body , just push many to go for Sony , Fuji etc ...

sad about the 4K but i guess not really a true deal breaker considering the rest of what it can do. save save save

You do have to ask whether you will be using the 4K feature though.

And for those cameras that do have 4K, are the features for real, functioning well or are they just an additional item for the specs list ?
Not every camera that says it can do 4K really mean it can do 4K.

Plus not everyone has a 4k ready device to view the glorious 4k videos.

I have some doubts about how many really need 4k to downsample into a higher quality 1080p video, apart from camera testers and a select few who may as well use video cameras for video.

4K is alive and active. I use 4K and many I know does. Maybe I am the one who is not in touch with reality....? :)

Sounds like it could be me whos out of touch....

No, you are not...myself also don't bothered by the 4K video, even in future there's 6K or 8K dahz...
Primary role of D/SLR, to me at least, still shots must be great!
