no offence. but i didnt see these 2 ladies.

but would rather to stay at home more if they were the only shooting subjects there.

went at 1.30pm, heavy rained, stayed for 2 seminars, hanged around awhile, rain cleared about 3.30pm, managed to lay my hands on the 1dmk3 for some mean 10FPS snapping..haha...

Tried the 1d mk3 with the 400mm f2.8. Shoots like a machine gun.

Yeah, I only took one shot of them....

My share of those doses of poisons here.

;p ;p ;p

How come some people have time slots?
And how can I check the timing of the shuttle buses from Bedok?
For those who went today, how was the crowd? Any less crowded time? Able to get your hands on the 1DMkIII and monster lenses?

Hi Bro, Can't gurantee the crowd tml is going to be the same...
Don't worry think got chance to try cause got 4 MK III out there in tripods with 300mm to 1200mm lens..

got even macro cams to try too with macro flashes..
Fisheye & most L lens..

Nice cap too..

The Mark III is one hell of a mean machine. It can really machine guy all e way. Definitely worth it for sports photography.

If u people wanna try out e Mark III and some of the macro lens and flash, it wud b worth e trip. But if ur main purpose to shoot e models, well frankly speakin tis is worse than mass orgy cuz too many people shooting them. Unlike previous yrs, tis time space too tight n model not doing much posing. Just stand there macam statue. tink i only took 2 shots of them. hahaha

The seminar ok ok only la. Heard it before in those canon launches. For beginners into dslr i wud say a good eye opener but for those who hang out here in CS often, nothing new to expect.

E wake boarders are definitely a much better subject too shoot. Try it on those huge lens tat they have. Btw if u'r having a hard time to try e Mark III, just wait till e models are out. Cuz everyone will start taking those shots and forget abt e Mark III.

I tot i saw one of e staff carrying a Mark III but unfortunately lost sight of her somewhere in e crowd. Guess tat's e only thing i'm sad abt :(

Yup.. but tat was mated wif 16-35L II. Can't realli test shoot the actions. However it was fun to shoot in the tent wif it, tat setup was quite light for a 1D.

Really love the macro lens & flash while hiding in the tent cause raining..
try out the fisheye too..

Bad organizing from the Canon folks.. Went down to Bedok MRT, waited both sides of the road, my friend one side, me on the other. They didn't even mention which side. None of Canon staff know what is going on when called them. In the end waited and waited. Saw no shuttle bus so got to take cab.

Mark III Nice, nice. But think it's good for sports or journalistic photogs. Doesn't seem to tempt me. Ha... I'd prefer the 5D anytme.

A very amusing thingy I observed.. The Canon MC announced there would be "hot babes" in bikini to shoot. When I went there, saw there was a rather huge group of photogs. When I moved in closer, I was wondering, huh?! No offence, but the gals were far from hot. In fact, one of the 2 got such crooked and overcrowded teeth that they made her look unflattering and "yee-errgh". Backdrop was not nice too.

The best part was, you can find the Ah Peks and young guys with their big L's and zooms shooting enthusiastically. No offence again, but it's as if that was the first time they saw women! Maybe it's just shoot for the sake of shooting since already brought along their gears.

Dunno where Canon got those models from. But if you wanna try out the MarkIII and some cool lenses, then worth a go. Can drop the model part though.

I believe the shuttle bus got timing.. IIRC only 1 bus trip was catered per session.

Nice... You shot this with your own 400mm? Or cropped?

Cos I found even with the 400mm at the spot where Canon placed the various big L's to try out, the wakeboarders looked quite small.

from the 1200mm..

I'm going tomolo. But my main concern's the weather will be the same as today...raining the whole day.

I don't have a 400mm f2.8 lah...
Just very slight cropping on the top to trim off the cycling track.

400mm just nice. Tried the 600mm and find it too long..

1200mm isn't really a sharp lens...
