No way, Jose. As a spare/backup? Can consider. :think:I wonder is the 7D will entice any FF owners to either get it as a spare or even switch back to APS-C.

There are too many threads and photos by other photographers (including pros) who do not seem to share RG's experience with the 1d3 after the firmware fixes. There are also rigorous tests carried out by magazines that debunk RG's claims. Honestly, I will take everything he says with a pinch of salt. In the same vein, I do not care what DPReview says about sensor quality. I will rather trust DXOMark.
i just checked the 7D owner's manual.
this is what it says abt zone af.
"The 19 AF points are divided into five zones for focusing. All the AF points in the selected zone are used for the automatic selection of the AF point. It makes achieving focus easier than with single-point AF or AF point expansion and it is effective for moving subjects. However, since it is inclined to focus the nearest subject, focusing a specific target is harder than with single-point AF or AF point expansion ..."
furthermore at the bottom, it also warns that ....
"With 19-point AF and Zone AF, the active AF point will keep switching to track the subjet in AI Servo AF mode. However, under certain shooting conditions (such as when the subject is small), it might not be able to track the subject. Also, in low temperature, the tracking response is slower."
I saw the folks at Cathay playing with the Canon 7D one by one secretly yesterday in their room.:bsmilie:

They need to gain product knowledge. But hope they are playing with the demo set.
