Eos 7D ???

Hope this new sensor will be even better in high iso noise than the current 1.6x sensor.

All the specs from the chinese ad seems really good, but one thing I don't understand is why everyone want to compare it to the xxd series when it is obviously in different league in both features and price. I mean at the projected 2.5k price, it is $800 more than the current 50d pricing. Killing the xxd series will mean leaving a big gap between the xxxd and xd series, wouldn't it?

The 100% 1.0x viewfinder sounds good...not a impossible thing considering that k-7 and d300 has 100% vf.

From the new line up from Canon, I am more excited by the 100mm Macro L lens. It is suppose to be the same price.

Yah... same price probably in EURO's instead. At best US$. :think:

An 'L' with 'IS' ... and the newest 'hIS' somemore ... ? I'll say it becomes a sub SG$1700 lens probably. Or... perhaps just 'a little bit' more than the Nikon 105mm VR if that's the price segmentation. :dunno:

Actually, time is quite ripe for the fabled 3D!

Wouldn't be surprised to see another FF model in the xD range with 7D's high frame rate, 19pt AF, sensor technology, BUT with no HD Video feature.

Keep the hopes alive bro!

I doubt you'll get new Canon DSLR without the HD video feature... if you've seen the 5D2 HD videos, you'd know that its here to stay...

BUT I do hope the new AF of the 7D is really as good as it looks on paper.

Hmm 7D with 1.6 crop... so what's going to happen to 60D which is rumored to be announced in Feb with the new 1D? How many 40D users are going to get this when it's out immediately? or would majority of you wait for the launch of 60D (which is supposed to be 1.6 cropped to since it's in the XXD series isn't it?) ?

same price as in with the 7D. the 100mm and the 7D should be about the same price.
