let the camera come out and see the review. if the CROP sensor can do better image, i think it still a good camera!

looking forward for the camera review though if really good, i may consider a upgrade for this cam too

Actually I'm not too worried about the sensor. As long as it can churn out relatively clean shots at ISO1600, and has a reliable AF, this will quite easily take the place of an action/2nd body in the backpack along with my 5D.

At least there are improvements on these 2 functions. Hopefully, they will be a surprise to us.

Its the noise level that we are most worry about..... 18MP on a 1.6x sensor is really pushing it :sweat:

1.45x Crop for the 7D?
I was sent an email saying that the new 7D will be APS-C, but with a 1.45x crop factor. Apparently this is the limit so that EF-S lenses still work without vignetting.

First appeared on a DPR forum posting, I couldn’t find the link.

I have no confirmed source for this one.

Read the latest rumour too, seems like 1.45x is the largest sensor size allowed by the EFs lenses without causing any vignetting.
