But is the 7D a FF? I don't think so right? Its still 1.6 crop that accepts EF & EF-S lens since the rumour launch the &D together with 2 EF-S lens.
But the 15-85mm lens seem to be a very good range for general walk about.

Ha ha, an APS-C 18mp sensor in a camera called 'Lord of Darkness'. Heard of Canon have developed some foveon type sensor, if used on this camera, the pixel size will be much bigger and we need not worry on the image degradation due to diffraction and high ISO noise would be reduce as well. Hope they using this type of sensor on the 7D.

Yes, lets waiting and see. FF or crop isn't any big deal to me, but image quality is what I'm most concern.

Honestly I was wishing 7D were a cheaper FF camera, instead of an APS-C body on steroids. But good for those wishing to upgrade from the xxxxD/xxxD and xxD series. Canon definitely looking to tap the vast market of consumers who have bought the APS-C format models....thus confirming that APS-C format is here to stay.

Definitely a 1.6x cropper from the leaked pics. Don't think an APS-H size sensor could accept EF-s lens.

It looks so similar to a 30D picture.

I think it will most likely be 10 more days to go, instead of 2 more days, before it will be made known since the last launch was the 5D2 and that was in mid Sep 08 during the last Comex Show 2008 so I'll expect this to also be launch during this year's Comex Show on 10 Sep 2009. :bigeyes: :think: :cry:
