EOS 5D MKII club.....

He is holding a 5D MkII with 100mm macro attending a flower show... He came from the 'dark side' - a D3. BTW, he is an avid photographer...

Sorry could i know is there any FE lens for MKII? at the same time can be use like an UWA lens as well??

The only Canon FE lens is the 15mm f/2.8 I think. You basically have 3 Canon UWA choices depending on your budget - 14mm f/2.8L, 16-35 f/2.8L II, and 17-40 f/4L. Of course there are also third party UWAs to choose from as well.

thanks. yeah, i know the choices. but is there such an UWA lens able to do fisheye effect as well for MKII? actually i wanna get a fisheye lens which also able to do standard wide angle without create those curves in image.

16-35mm f2.8 should do the job.
If you want a cheaper ones, get 17-40mm f4

Eh, fisheye and UWA is different my friend. Fisheye is an extremely wide-angle lens that produces hemispherical image. UWA lenses like 16-35, 17-40 is simply a wide-angle lens.

Want a cheaper but high quality fisheye for your FF DSLR?
Consider the Tokina AT-X Pro 10-17mm f3.5-4.5 lens with fisheye effect. It is sharp, with excellent colours, contrast and very good flare control. Focusing is quite fast and the lens is well-built with metal body and mount.

The bonus is that although this lens is designed for cropped sensor DSLRs, it can also be mounted on to a full-frame DSLR (I've put it on my 5D). Of course, there is vignetting at the widest angles, so from 10-13mm there is the shdow of the cropped frame but from 14mm to 17mm, it is full frame (no cropping required) with no vignetting totally. That means on a 5D, you get a 14-17mm fisheye zoom lens!

17-40L @S$1190.00

Went down to CP this afternoon to get my flash, and also asked this lens.. Yes, the price indeed went up. $1273.30 inclusive of GST. :sweat: Other L lens also increased in price. :cry:

Can consider on the B&S section for the 17-40L or 16-35L .unless you need the new unit.
