Who cares! I am thinking what will be the effect like if I shoot video using 8mm fisheye. :bsmilie:

Compatible with over 60 Canon EF/EF-S lenses and most EOS System accessories.

EF-S can use? If not how come they put it here? :)

probably a typo. there's a rubber gasket on EF-s lenses dat stop them from being mounted on non-EF-s capable cameras. the only one i know dat can be shoe-horned into fitting onto a non EF-s camera is the old EFs 18-55 kit lens from the 300D era. u have to saw off the rubber gasket to make it fit...

Gorgeous !!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful ~ in love

I may be the 1st to say this here....but the 5DII specs a bit disappointing really, especially after all the supreme hype and anticipation...the only real "evolution" worth talking about is the 1080 HD video recording capability...the rest is just improved features over the old 5D... even the body and layout looks the same....and the same no. of AF points too.

Sigh...the fabled "3D" still remains a fantasy.

Time to start keeping a lookout for those dumping 5D cheaply.... ;)

Actually, apart from HD video (why?!?!) , and high ISO, I am quite unexcited. I was expecting more.

HERE I GO.
WHINGE WHINGE WHINGE
there's ALWAYS SOMETHING TO WHINGE ABOUT

probably have to wait till I see images from it

Impressive ! 21 megapixels with max native ISO 6400 ! and HD1080 at 30fps. woohoo.... and oh.. an attractive price to boot US$2699... (Thanks to Sony A900 !!! - price trendsetter for high MPix FF)

I hope the 5D delivers 6400 like what the 50D delivers the 3200. And hopefully usable iso 25600 without banding.

I mentioned alreadi loh... it's a relaunch of 5D. ;p

either way, buying new (5dmk2) or old (5d), our wallets suffers..

perhaps i should wait abit more..

would love to buy it if it was released early to mid november (travelling end of november) and if the stock markets didn't crash.

FF would have been perfect with my 24-70 and would have probably sold my 16-35.

oh well. unfortunate series of events.

EXACTLY what I was thinking!

as I read the specs... it was like... WHAT EVOLUTION? This isn't evolution, it looks like a hunched monkey.

We'll just have to wait until the images!

still ok only. The body to battery grip still has the same cut out look, unlike nikons body to the grip it looks like attached seamlessly.

seems like most slrs coming out now have video enabled haha

WOA INSANE :P madness by camera showing not loosing to the N camp :)

I see need for new computers (they recently announced new Cray supercomputers for home use) more HDDs and storage (Sandisk 32gb and cheap 1TB HDDs). These add up to a lot of waste of space and money if you are not using it for work. Those with money to burn is another story. :bsmilie:

For the price tag there is not much more to expect. They will surely release a 1-series with faster AF but prepare to pay a few K more. For anyone who does not shoot sports/birds, the AF is practically acceptable IMO. Now, it's the delivery time, end of NOV!! Toooooo long!

Actually I'm happy it's not that enticing.
Then I am not tempted.
