Ehhh i think that is US$1300....or about S$2015, saw the pricing at digital life rrp for 40d is S$2099.
that is ok...shouldn't be a problem...
oops thought the price from OSAKA...then i better wait for next trip to Japan again on Apr 2008 together with 5D mk2...

Hi guys, I am currently in Japan. Unfortunately, the 40D is not yet on sales in the store not until September. However, the major camera retailers (Yodobashi, BIC Camera and Sakuraya) are accepting pre-order.
The price I seen so far is 148K Yen, which is about S$1,947 (I think you can get 5% tax refund)..
p.s. the price is for body only. Check www.yodobashi.com

Wait for 5D II release and the 5D will be much more cheaper by then.... I expect 5D II to be much better than 5D, and selling at lower price than when 5D first launched.... the lower price will force 5D price to be even lower...... Winning strategy.....
Be patient and you will win..... ;p
But after Nikon annoucement.... Maybe when 5DII is out, you might want to buy that instead as it will have much more features..........

China seems quite risky after seeing their famous fear factor products - cardboard buns, cancer inducing clothes.. wad if radio active 40D.. fainted..
