Hmm, when i put my name down in the list, not for the 300D , i saw a pageful.. didn't flip the page, cause later kenna scolded.. heh.. anyway, about 20 names on one page.. it's those accounting books ar, so you can approximate how big it is, and all the lines are filled.. so.. just go down to MS and ask ar.. the uncle very friendly

a newbie here, had been tracking this thread for a while. just placed my name for a 300D with Cathay Photo. it will be a long wait and hopefully i will be able to practise with it before a coming trip .. wish me luck !!!

Helped my father-in-law get his at less than $1660 (inclu. GST 4%) at MS Color Ang Mo Kio. Without the kit of course...

It's advertised in the Malaysian newspaper that the retail price is RM3999 with the lens kit.
Was in Midvalley Megamall, KL today. Went to a shop and was quoted RM3799 with the lens kit. That was the only shop I asked. Perhaps other shops sell at a lower price :dunno:

How much did u pay? Is the viewfinder really very much dimmer than the 10D?

I think some stocks just arrived yesterday. Was at CP yesterday evening and saw at least four sets being sold. Asked one of the CP guys and he said limited stocks had come in (both w/ and w/o kit lens) but subject to availability and whether u had put ur name on the queue list. Can check out John 3:16 and AP/MS Color also...they shld have some sets available. (call first to enquire safer) Good luck.

Got mine about 1 week ago from Tan Union in People's Park. 300D kit (ie.w/lens):$1750+GST.

And yes...for those who are wondering, it's made in Japan and the kit is complete. Nothing missing. Just a word of advice: Get the camera and that's it. I think i can't make it any clearer.
