Looks like its more or less confirmed the 20D would launch in mid Sept

erm...r u sure there is no kit with it...cos they did say that will come with kit lens..like the 18-55 or the 17-85
as in they anounce right....

Canon USA has it in the press release that there are 3 types of packaging for 20D: Body alone, w/17-85 or the 18-55

hmm think most ppl would either choose the body alone or the with the 17-85... unless budget constrain, den the 18-55...

I'll add on to that, unless you are from a 10D you'll probably opt for the 18-55 EFS for economic consideration. if you're from a 300d and already have the 18-55, then would probably opt for the 17-85

That work out to be only about S$2800, factored in the cost of converting S$ to RM.

So if the street price in Singapore is not that much lower than the S$3099, we go Malaysia and buy lah.

I heard HK is selling the 17-85IS at around S$1000. Because its a EF-S lens, if it can also fit 10D, I might be getting one from HK thro a fren.

Erh.... EF-S Lens CANNOT fit 10D... ONLY 300D and the up and coming 20D...

right...but the sunk cost is 10 times more for the risk of modification....1000 dollars vs 100 dollars.
